Description

Baby doves on my front gate fence post. Could not bring the mower through until they fledged. But they did. The nest was so pathetic, seemed like twigs carelessly laid down. But they made it!
At summer’s start to my surprise
Fence post nest, I surmised
Two whitish eggs in flimsy nest
Unlikely place I would have guessed
From nest to eggs to baby doves
Fledgelings gone, the process loved.
