Description

I have a shallow Mexican flower pot on top of a cabinet on my back porch – maybe 2 feet outside my kitchen window. Over the last 6 months, mourning doves have used it to nest four times. Each has successfully hatched two young. I believe it to be different mommas, as they display varying levels of shyness as I walk by or look out the window while I do dishes. I now call my house “the Dove Shack.”
