I found this nest in an outhouse here at Commons Ford Ranch Metropolitan Park in Austin,TX while participating in the Travis Audubon Society’s Birdathon.
On that glorious day, our team found a singing male Painted Bunting, Great Horned Owl, Wild Turkey, Osprey, Belted King Fisher, and this Funky Nest!
This fantastic Funky Nest underscores the ingenuity and determination of birds to survive within our urban landscape!
I hope my photograph inspires others to study, appreciate, and conserve our lovely world of birds!
