Description
This Costa’s Hummingbird chose a most conspicuous spot to built her nest. It is on a very busy street, one block from a grammar school. I thought about trashing it before she laid eggs so she would relocate and try again, but I decided to let things be and hope for a good outcome. Picture was taken on February 14th as she finished her nest, and the last of two healthy chicks fledged on March 24th.
