Anna’s Hummingbird no Photographer

This Anna’s Hummingbird nest was taken at Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park in Superior, Arizona. I submitted it because I have seen and heard of all kinds of whacky and cool places hummingbirds have built nests, but this one atop a pine cone was the first I’ve had an opportunity to photograph. You always hear people speak in awe about how tiny hummingbird nests and their eggs are, and I thought the placement of the nest on top of the cone really put the small size of the nest into perspective.
